Met Éireann has issued an Orange weather warning for Kilkenny, Wexford and Waterford from tomorrow.

Flooding, dangerous travel conditions and poor visibility are expected.

A Yellow weather warning is also in effect for several counties between today tomorrow.

A Yellow warning was issued for Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Galway from 6pm today until 6pm tomorrow.

Another weather warning was issued for Carlow, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Offaly, Westmeath, Wicklow and Roscommon from 4am on Monday for 24 hours.

There are conflicting reports on weather models on the amount of rain expected, but some models suggest over 40 millimetres of rainfall is likely.

The warnings come following severe flooding in the south of Ireland from Storm Babet.

The town of Midleton was one of the worst affected as homes and businesses were flooded and people waded through rainwater up to their waist in many areas.

A huge clean-up operation has been under way with the Government setting up a €10 million fund to help businesses and households with costs to repairs.
