We were all very happy to be back in a warm dry studio today to bring you some fascinating interviews, our movie review with George Byrne and some very sad news.
It is true, Joe is leaving the Tom Dunne Show for pastures new. So here is the penultimate Coffee Break for you to enjoy before he goes…
James J. Corbett ”“ nicknamed ‘Gentle Jim’ ”“ was the first gloved world heavyweight boxing champion in 1892. Also a dab hand at acting, he became a movie star at the very beginning of motion picture history. Son of Irish immigrants, he was a legend of his own time, being one of the most talked about celebrities. Here to tell us about him is Andrew Gallimore, award winning documentary maker.
Also joining Tom in studio today was Orla Tinsley, a well known campaigner for the rights of people with Cystic Fibrosis in Ireland. She has recently published “My Story” which gives an honest insight into the life of a hospital “lifer” and she came in to tell us about her story.
