One billion people are actively using Facebook each month.

The site launched in 2004 is the world’s biggest social network.

The company says there have been over 1.13 trillion likes, 140 billion friend connections and 219 billion photos uploaded.

The founder of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg says helping a billion people connecting is amazing, humbling and is by far the thing he is most proud of in his life.
