Over 450 letters have been issued to Irish influencers reminding them of their tax obligations around gifts.

The Irish Times reports the notes have been sent since September 2023 to support voluntary compliance.

150 letters were issued last October, according to documents released under Freedom of Information.

A person can receive up to €3,000 per donor per year in gifts with no liability, but any extra is taxed at 33%.
