Over 61,000 Leaving Certificate students will receive their results this morning.
They'll be available online from 10am through the Candidate Self Service Portal (CSSP) at www.examinations.ie.
Students can view and print their provisional results, and will also be able to receive their results in-person through their school.
Of the 61,107 candidates receiving results, 58,056 followed the Established Leaving Certificate programme in 410,162 individual subjects.
While 12,452 (or 21.4%) of candidates followed the Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme - while a further 3,051 did the Applied Programme.
On marking, the State Examinations Commission (SEC) said the overall set of 2022 results, in the aggregate, will be no lower than 2021.
"While the results following the examinations marking process were lower in 2022 right across the full range of achievement, the gap between higher results in 2022 and higher results in 2021 was smaller than the gap between lower results in 2022 compared to lower results in 2021", it said.
"To address this, additional marks were added to all scores from the examinations process on a gradually reducing basis.
"The adjustment adds 11% of the examination total to marks at the bottom end of the scale and gradually reduces to 2.7% of the total at the top of the scale."
What happens next
Options are also available to students to view or appeal aspects of their exams.
There are two viewing services this year: in school for subjects marked on paper, and online for subjects marked online.
The application process is the same for both services.
This can be made through the Candidate Self Service Portal between 5pm on Tuesday September 6th and 8pm on Wednesday September 7th.
While applications to appeal can similarly be made between 9am Saturday September 10th and 12pm on Monday September 12th.
Education Minister Norma Foley said: "I would like to sincerely congratulate every student receiving their results today.
"You have reached this significant milestone in your education journey and that alone is an enormous achievement.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank your families, your teachers and your school communities for the support they have shown you over the course of your Senior Cycle pathway.
"Throughout your school journey, each of you will have learned so much and will have developed a myriad of talents. Be proud of that.
"Now begins the next exciting chapter in your lives."
She also thanked all who made the exams possible - from teachers, principals and other school staff to those in the SEC.
