Customs officers have seized cannabis resin with an estimated street value of over €86,000 after searching a car at Rosslare Europort.

The seizure was made after a sniffer dog on routine profiling picked up a trace on the car.

It had travelled on a ferry from France.

Customs officers scanned the car and over 14 kilogrammes of the drug was found hidden in the vehicle.

A British national aged in his 40s was arrested and taken to Wexford Garda Station.
