It began yesterday evening and is due to finish up later this morning.
A vote will be held in the Dáil tonight on a Bill introduced by United Left Alliance TD Clare Daly calling on the government to legislate for the 'X Case'.
Meanwhile a vigil is to be held at NUI Galway today to mark 1 month since the death of Savita Halappanavar.
The silent gathering been organised by the feminist society at the university.
Participants are planning to dress in black for the event.
Issue 'not going away'
The Health Minister and the Minister for Justice have said the government will not be rushed into taking action on the issue of abortion.
They were speaking after the publication of the expert group on abortion report yesterday which outlines 4 options available to the government.
Spokesperson for the protestors is Eimear Walshe.
She says they want to send a message to government that the pressure for a decision on legislation will not subside.
