The UK hospital where Kate Middleton is staying has confirmed an Australian radio station made a hoax call asking about the Duchess of Cambridge.
A presenting duo managed to convince staff at the King Edward VII hospital that they were both the Queen of England and Prince Charles and found themselves connected through to a private nurse last night.
They were told that she was asleep and had an uneventful night and that she was stable.
Information on visiting hours
They then went on to ask about visiting hours and Prince William.
The nurse told them when was the best time to come in and that the Prince went home at about 9pm last night.
It was announced on Monday that the 30-year-old is expecting a baby and was taken to the hospital with acute morning sickness.
She is still being treated for severe morning sickness.
The hospital says it deeply regrets the incident calling it 'a foolish prank' that it deplores.
