A 25-year-old has been injured in a paramilitary-style shooting in Derry - the third such attack in the city in recent days.
Shortly before 11pm, police received a report that three masked men had entered a house in the Mimosa Court estate.
One of the men was armed with a hammer, while a second shot the victim in the leg with a handgun.
It's believed the gunman attempted to fire several more shots, but the gun jammed and the suspects fled the scene.
A woman was also in the house at the time was not injured.
The man who was shot was taken to hospital for treatment, and his injuries aren't thought to be life threatening.
Police said it's the third paramilitary-style attack in the city within 48 hours, but they do not currently believe the incidents are linked.
In a statement about the latest shooting, PSNI Detective Inspector Peter McKenna said: "This was a savage and brutal attack on a young man in his home, carried out by faceless cowards. Nothing gives these people the right to violate the human rights of others, and their actions should be condemned by all.
"Those who are involved in paramilitary-style attacks do not represent the interests of any community, nor do they contribute anything to it. They do it to try and exert influence or gain control in communities."
The PSNI are also calling for anyone with information about the shooting to contact them.
