The parents of babies who died in Portlaoise Hospital have slammed a review aimed at determining if individual managers or staff should be held accountable for failures which led to the tragedies.
So far, nobody has been held to account for failures which saw five babies die in similar circumstances at the hospital from 2006 to 2013.
The families who lost children at the hospital will not be interviewed as part of the process and the review will not be made public.
Roisin Molloy, whose son Mark died in Portlaoise hospital in 2012, Krysia Lynch from the Association for Improvements in Maternity Services in Ireland and mother of two Simone Kenny spoke to Colette this morning on the Colette Fitzpatrick show about their concerns.
Roisín spoke about her experience stating: "It all went wrong. I was told by the consultant that things didn't sound good over there and what she meant was, where they were working on Mark.
"She was fighting to save me. Mark, my husband, was sitting beside me watching them trying to save me, knowing that baby Mark was in trouble.
"My husband said to me, 'Jesus we're not getting him.'
"He was a perfect baby, except for he had died."
