The old question of why girls perform better at school than boys might have something to do with the amount of time they spend reading with their parents.
That's according to a new Canadian study - researchers there examined both how parents interact with their toddlers and how much one-on-one time they spend with them.
The study analysed surveys done in the US, Canada and Britain, and found that girls get more reading time with their parents than boys.
