The five-year-old girl who was seriously injured in the Parnell Square attack in Dublin last November has been released from hospital.
In total, she spent 281 days - just over nine months - in Temple Street Children's Hospital after a stabbing incident outside Gaelscoil Cholaiste Mhuire.
In an update on her GoFundMe page today, her family said they hope her health will continue to improve as she returns to her family.
“Today we begin a new chapter in our darling's rehabilitation - or as we call it 'The Gym',” they said.
“The hope is that she is able to swallow food, move her arms and legs more purposefully, and utter some more sounds.”
The child’s discharge comes nearly one month after her first visit back home, on August 6th, since the attack in November.
