Gardai in Cork say there's been some flooding in the city overnight.
South Union Quay, Fr. Matthew Quay, Morrison's Island and Wandesford Quay were impassable at one point, but water is receding at this stage. The AA says Walsh's Quay remains flooded.
A flood alert had been put in place because of a combination of heavy rain that was forecast and high tide, which peaked earlier this morning.
Also, a number of car parks at Sandymount and Clontarf promenades in Dublin were also closed as a precaution while flood defences were put in place on the river Tolka - however there are no reported problems in those areas at this stage.
