A host of well-known faces joined The Pat Kenny Show at the Aviva Stadium this morning to mark Pat’s momentous milestone of 10 years on-air at Newstalk.
Pat was joined by the likes of Andrea Corr, Luke O’Neill, Keith Barry and Tánaiste Michael Martin to celebrate the occasion as part of a jam-packed show.
Pat Kenny’s move to Newstalk was front-page news when it was announced in August 2013 and Pat has delivered stellar content ever since.
On his way to becoming the station’s most listened-to show with 179,000 people tuning in daily, Pat has spoken to many well-known luminaries – including Bill Clinton, Cate Blanchett, Bono and Brendan Gleeson.
Throughout that time, he has brought his razor-sharp insight to the very biggest stories and consistently held those in power to account over the decisions that affect the lives of everyone in the country.
To celebrate the 10-year milestone, Newstalk has released a podcast series highlighting some of Pat’s best interviews from the past decade: ‘10 years of Pat Kenny on Newstalk.’

Speaking about the anniversary, Pat said: “A decade at Newstalk, what’s it been like? Well, thousands of shows, tens of thousands of interviews, a host of new friends and colleagues, new ways of working and new freedoms.”
“My 10 years in Marconi House have been exhilarating.
“Domestic crises like health and housing and global crises like the COVID pandemic. Throw in Brexit, the two blondes, Johnson and Trump, the insurrection, China flexing its muscles and the war in Ukraine, all in one turbulent decade. And then there’s global warming to contend with.
“I’m so glad I got to move the dial, and my thanks to all who joined me.”
