Patricia Ryan has resigned as the Chief Executive of Limerick City of Culture.
In a statement issued this evening she says, the speculation and commentary surrounding the events of recent days has regrettably compromised her authority and capacity to continue leading the project.
The Limerick woman was appointed City of Culture CEO in November.
