Three politicians will stand trial sometime next year for the alleged false imprisonment of the Tánaiste Joan Burton and her adviser.
Socialist TD Paul Murphy and two Anti-Austerity Alliance Councillors were served with books of evidence today along with twelve others.
He is one of 16 people accused of trapping Joan Burton and her adviser in their car as they tried to leave a graduation ceremony in Jobstown just over a year ago.
They attended Dublin District Court this afternoon and were sent forward for trial to the Circuit Court. This means the accused will face a jury trials and a maximum sentence of life in prison.
"There is going to be a trial that will go on for a week or more so this is on people's minds at it will be on people's minds for a year.
"The best you can do is prepare for it legally," he said,.
