A man in his late teens has died following a road traffic collision in Listowel, Co. Kerry last night.
Gardaí said the collision between a pedestrian and a car happened at approximately 9.50pm last night, October 7th, on the R555 at Duagh Village.
The pedestrian, a man aged in his late teens, was seriously injured and brought to hospital. He was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 20s, and the three passengers, all aged in their late teens, were uninjured in the collision.
The scene of the collision is currently preserved for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
The road remains closed and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí in Listowel are urging anyone who was travelling on the R555 last night and may have camera footage to come forward.
