A man in his 40s has died after a hit-and-run in Drogheda, Co Louth.
It happened on Rathmullen Road, Drogheda, shortly after 2.30am on March 17th, according to Gardaí.
A pedestrian in his 40s was declared dead at the scene. The vehicle involved left the scene.
Gardaí later recovered a “vehicle of interest” which is currently undergoing forensic examination.
The scene is currently preserved for examination and local traffic diversions are in place.
Gardaí in Louth have appealed for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.
They are particularly interested in anyone with dash-cam footage in the area at the time.
