A female pedestrian in her 30s has been hospitalised following a crash in County Kilkenny.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the collision involving a car and a pedestrian on the N76 at Westcourt Demesne yeseterday evening at around 9pm.

The woman was brought to St Luke's Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

There were no other injuries reported.

The road is currently closed for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators with local diversions in place.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
