A pensioner has been charged with multiple counts of sexual assault and defilement of a child.
The man (68), who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before Limerick District Court this afternoon.
He is charged with 15 offences - including six counts of sexual assault and nine counts of defilement of a girl - in Co. Clare.

The girl was aged between 13 and 15 at the time.
The man was granted bail on a number of strict conditions. These include that he surrender his passport and have no contact with the girl or her family.
