The new poll was conducted among 7,500 motorists by the AA.
The 3 main reasons given for not claiming were:
- The fear of affecting a no claims discount.
- Concerns over rising premiums.
- The belief that it wasn’t financially worth it.

However nearly 75% of people said if they were in a ‘moderate to serious’ crash, they would make a claim.
19% of those polled said they’d been in a collision while driving over the past ten years and 37 per cent of those said it was all their fault.
