A 25-storey tower near the 3Arena is set to become Dublin’s tallest building.
The city council has granted permission to developer Johnny Ronan for the apartment block.
The development includes three blocks ranging from eight all the way up to 25 storeys.
It will include 550 apartments, along with a restaurant, rooftop terrace and public pocket park.
Originally permission was sought for a 45 storey tower on the site.

Tommy Byrne lives on nearby Mayor Street Upper – he said they’re now surrounded by high rise buildings blocking light to their homes:
"It's an absolute disgrace," he said.
"Dublin was always like a split-level city - the only skyscraper we ever had was Liberty Hall, now they're cropping up all over the place."
President of the Dublin Chamber Eoghan Quigley has welcomed the approval.
"I think It's a very good thing," he said.
"What are the solutions to the housing problem? Density is one of them."
At 83 metres it will beabout nine-tenths the height of The Statue of Liberty or around one-and-a-half times as tall as The Leaning Tower of Pisa.
