You don't have to go too far to sample exotic cuisine this week. A pest control firm is to open a 'pestaurant' at the National Ploughing Championships in Co Laois.
To celebrate its heritage and 80 years' experience, Rentokil is unveiling a 'pop-up pestaurant' at the event in Stradbally.
Over the three day festival, it will be serving up an array of exotic cuisine.
These will include edible insects such as salted weaver ants, barbeque mole crickets and chocolate-dipped worms.
The firm says it is "to celebrate the hard work that goes into keeping Irish pests under control."
"Farmers may be interested to hear how insects also have a high 'feed conversion rate', meaning that they can be farmed using relatively little land, water and energy compared to livestock," it adds.
