Pet owners are being urged to keep them indoors where possible, in the run up to, and over, Halloween.
At this time of year with fireworks, bangers and bonfires, pets can sustain injury or run away in fear.
Reports of animal cruelty surface every year around this time with the colder, darker nights adding to the problem.

The DSPCA says animal cruelty is not as prevalent as it has been in the past.
