Yep, the fallout from the Garth Brooks cancelled gigs continues as the Tánaiste Joan Burton is now being petitioned to issue an apology after ‘disparaging and clueless’ comments she made regarding metal music fans.

Ms Burton told the Irish Sun newspaper last week that fans of the country crooner were a lot more reserved than  Metallica’s fan-base who “would be causing problems for the neighbours".

Fans of the genre have hit back at Ms Burton's remarks with Keith Caffrey of the Irish metal band Black Svan calling on people to sign a petition asking for the Labour party leader to apologise.
