Two houses have been attacked in Drogheda in what's believed to be part of an ongoing criminal feud.
In the first incident, a petrol bomb was discovered at a house in Ashleigh Heights at around 12:20am this morning.
Later, at 4am, a petrol bomb was thrown through the window of a house in Springfield Court.
Nobody was injured at either property.
Gardaí say their investigations are ongoing.
The overnight incidents the latest in a series of incidents in the Co Louth town.
On Thursday afternoon a gunman opened fire at a house at Hardman's Gardens, wounding a man in the shoulder and leg.
Investigators said that the attack was carried out “in broad daylight” in a residential part of the town.
Shortly before midnight on Thursday, gardaí said a 'considerable amount' of damage was caused to a house in the Moneymore area after three youths threw a suspect device through the front sitting room window.
Local politicians have called for extra Garda resources to tackle the situation in the town.
Speaking after Thursday's shooting, Labour Senator Ged Nash said: "My constant fear is that this ongoing criminal feud will take an innocent life.
"This madness needs to end."
