Pharrell Williams and Al Gore have announced a series of international concerts to promote action against climate change.
The Guardian reports that concerts are planned for all seven continents, including Antarctica, as part of Live Earth 2015. The event is being planned in advance of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris later this year.
Producer Kevin Wall said there are hopes that the concerts will reach a television audience of 2 billion people.
The concerts will take place on June 18th, 'anchored' from Paris and New York.
The announcement of the new concerts was made at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
The first Live Earth concert was held in 2007, with concerts held around the world to mark the event. The main event in London featured the likes of Metallica, Madonna, Genesis, Beastie Boys and Snow Patrol.
The event also featured the once-off appearance of SOS Allstars - a drumming 'supergroup' led by Roger Taylor (Queen), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters),
