Gardaí are working to find the driver of the car that killed a Dublin woman in a hit-and-run on Wednesday night.
The woman has been named as Carol Seery.
It is understood the 67-year-old was out socialising with family members when she was struck by the car on the Phibsborough Road at around 9:10pm.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car failed to remain at the scene and the Garda investigation is now focused on finding them.
The car had come to the attention of Gardaí shortly before the incident and the matter has now been referred to the Garda Ombudsman (GSOC) for investigation
The car investigators believe was involved was located yesterday in the Phibsborough area where it had been abandoned.
The 07-D silver Honda Civic has been removed to a secure location where it is undergoing a technical and forensic examination.
It is believed Gardaí are in possession of CCTV footage of the incident.
They are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.
They are particularly interested in talking to anyone with any information on the driver of the 07-D silver Honda Civic, or who saw the car in the wider Phibsborough area in the hours before the incident.
Any road users who were travelling in the Phibsborough area between 8.30pm and 9.30pm yesterday and have camera footage are asked to make it available to Gardaí.
