This evening on The Right Hook, George was joined by the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, Phil Hogan.
The Minister was down at the National Ploughing Championships, at Ratheniska, Stradbally, county Laois.
Speaking about the on-going issue of the residents of Priory Hall, the Minister said he expected to have options on the table to consider by next week after consultation with the residents and financial institutions.
Later on, when asked about the planned water charges, the Minister said that 50% of the country will be metered by next year and the remainder will pay an assessed charge, based on houses in the area already on the meter.
The Minister said of water charges: "Welcome to the real world" and that one way or another, the consumer will have to pay for water.
