A photographer has been seriously injured during a Charlie Hebdo protest in Karachi, Pakistan.

According to reports, he was seriously wounded. 

A senior police officer told Reuters: "AFP photographer Asif Hasan suffered wounds resulting from gunshots fired by ... protesters, police have not opened fire."

Another photographer at the scene reported that many of the protesters were armed.
