A plane has made an emergency landing at Dublin Airport.

The small private aircraft with 20 people on board departed at 3:30pm this afternoon.

It returned to Dublin Airport 15 minutes later after developing an engine issue, and landed safely.

The plane was carrying a Spanish government delegation that was attending the European People's Party (EPP) congress in the city.
