/> A plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Dublin airport last night – leading to disruption for bank holiday passengers.
An American Airlines flight was travelling from London Heathrow to Boston when a technical problem was discovered.
It returned to Dublin, where an emergency landing was carried out shortly after 10pm.

All passengers and crew on board are safe but as a result of the incident, several flights were diverted – to Belfast, Shannon and Manchester airports.
All flight services have now returned to normal.
