Passengers on board a plan that was forced to make an emergency landing at Shannon Airport today have reported seeing smoke in the cabin.
The Boeing 767 touched down safely at around 4 o'clock despite a problem with one of its engines requiring it to be shut down.
The Delta aircraft was en route from Italy to America at the time and its 209 passengers have been put up in hotels in Limerick and Clare for the night.
