It's emerged police stopped a plane at Heathrow Airport in London earlier this month - to remove a 15 year-old-girl they believed was travelling to Syria to join Islamist extremists.

The teenager - from east London - had bought a ticket to Istanbul without her parents knowing.

The plane was taxiing down the runway when officers ordered it be turned round.
