The world record for the largest number of wellies thrown at the same time has been broken at The Ploughing Championships.
The record-breaking feat, organised by Macra na Feirme, saw 995 people – including the Minister for Agriculture, Charlie McConalogue fling wellies across a field this afternoon.
It's among a large programme of events scheduled for day two of the National Ploughing Championships in County Laois.
Anna Marie McHugh from the National Ploughing Association said the event was "a bit of craic".
"It's brilliant to see that people are doing this here and the sun is shining when they're doing it," she said.
"It's an initiative from Macra na Feirme to be doing something like this ... Macra is all about having the craic.
"There's plenty of programmes that they do with the heavier stuff, but they're all about the craic at the same time.
"This really epitomises what they're at."
