Australian homicide detectives say they have identified missing Drogheda woman Jill Meagher on CCTV footage taken in Melbourne.
The footage is believed to show the 29-year-old walking north through Brunswick at about 1.41am on Saturday just after she left a pub she had been in with a work group.
Earlier detectives and forensic investigators arrived at the Brunswick home in Melbourne Jill shares with her husband Thomas.
Police say that search is a routine part of the on-going investigation.
They say all CCTV collected needs to be thoroughly analysed before detectives can make a determination on what images can be released publicly.
Investigators are appealing for anyone with information or who may have seen Jill in this vicinity to contact police and in particular would like to speak to anyone who may have spoken to Jillian at Bar Ettiquette or Brunswick Green in the early hours of Saturday morning.
She was reported missing on Saturday morning after she failed to return home from a night out on Friday.
She was last seen leaving Bar Ettiquette on Sydney Road in Brunswick around 1.30am Saturday morning.
Her handbag was located in a laneway off Hope Street on Monday morning.
Police are still trying to ascertain whether the handbag was missed by police in the initial search or whether it was placed there after the initial search.
Jillian is described as being of a fair complexion, 165cm tall, slim build, long curly black hair and brown eyes.
She was wearing a blue dress, black jacket, black patterned stockings and high heels.
Her mother Edith McKeon also lives in Australia.
She has been speaking to Channel 10 news there.
