In the North police are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in the Glengoland Park area of Dunmurry yesterday.

Shortly before 7pm, two men dressed in balaclavas and gloves entered the house of an elderly couple.

One of the men was armed with a hammer. They escaped with some jewellery.

Nobody was injured in the incident.
