Police in Britain are trying to establish a motive for yesterday’s stabbing in Southport.
Two children died, nine others were injured - while six others remain in a critical condition after the attack.
Two adults are also in a critical condition after being stabbed.
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
Merseyside Police Chief Constable Serena Kennedy said adults who tried to prevent the attack were also injured.
“It is understood that the children were attending a Taylor Swift event at a dance school when the offender, armed with a knife, walked into the premises and started to attack.. the children,” she said.
“We believe that the adults who were injured were bravely trying trying to protect the children who were being attacked.”
