A weekend newspaper stated the popular underage (and alcohol-free) disco introduced the ‘drunk tank’ so that teenagers are medically assessed before they’re sent home.

Donie Bolger, event organiser for Old Wesley, spoke to the Pat Kenny Show this morning saying the process had been in place for quite a while and that reports of intoxication are exaggerated.

Are they being pro-active or does this abdicate parents’ responsibility to ensure their children don’t drink before going to the disco?
