Lucinda Creighton and Eddie Hobbs revealed their hand today, formally launching Ireland's newest political party - Renua Ireland.

It promises to be a - "A modern, collaborative party, engaging the nation in a new conversation."

So what does it actually believe - and is it offering anything different to the existing parties?

"Reversing the destructive culture of the abolition of community life from the school to the post office is a core value."

"RENUA believes a state without strong families is a broken reed. We commit to supporting families of all types in a practical caring fashion."

"We intend in welfare to build a state structure that marries compassion with responsibility. Those who are not self reliant will be imprisoned rather than released by a life on welfare."

New politics:

"Old politics bankrupted the state. Ireland needs a new kind of politics that is open and ethical and designed for modernity."

"Ireland supports an ethical foreign policy. We are supportive of European integration where it serves the interest of citizens in a progressive fashion."
