Irish rail customers will have alcoholic drinks removed on the Dublin Heuston to Galway train service following reports of anti-social behaviour.
The ban comes in addition to the 'alcohol-free' services operated on other weekend routes, including the 1.15pm and 3.15pm services from Heuston Station to Waterford on Fridays, and the 3.05pm service from Waterford to Heuston Station on Sundays.
Security staff has been deployed by Irish rail on various routes, particularly where anti-social behaviour is commonplace.
