In the UK, police officers have spoken to a group of builders after a woman complained that they had wolf-whistled at her on her way to work.
Poppy Smart (23) has compared it to racial discrimination, and claims it has ruined her daily walk to the office in Worcester.
West Mercia Police say they looked into reports of possible anti-social behaviour, but have decided to take no further action.
"I've noticed this behaviour more and more around the city", she told the Mirror.
"Men will lean out of their cars or vans and shout comments about my appearance or whistle and I know and have seen this happen to others as well."
"I think more women should speak out about this behaviour, maybe it will make people think twice."
She hopes other women will speak out and says the workmen should be named and shamed.
