It comes as the Government said An Post would deliver a COVID-19 information booklet to every home in the country this week.
It explains the services that are in place and what you should to protect yourself and your family.
“I encourage everyone to read it when it arrives,” he said.
“We may think we know what we should be doing but we live in an age of misinformation and disinformation and we are in a constant battle to get accurate information and truth out to the public.
“This the basic primer; the basic piece of information that everyone needs to know and absorb as soon as you get this through your letterbox.
“It is very easy to be misled and this book cuts through the confusion.”

He said the book brings together the advice of Ireland’s public health experts, the World Health Organisation and the European Centre for Disease Prevention & Control.
The Health Minister Simon Harris said the booklet will address the worries and concerns of many people across the country.
“We know our best hope of containing COVID-19 and slowing its spread is through everybody following the public health advice from our Chief Medical Officer and his team,” he said.
“This booklet offers people the best public health information we have available to us at this time and leaves the power to stop the spread of the virus in their hands.”
Postmen and women will now not just deliver the post, they will ring the bell to check in on older and vulnerable people living our communities, being a practical & TRUSTED point of connection with our most vulnerable people. @Postvox #Covid19Ireland
