Post mortems will be carried out on the bodies of two men recovered from the sea off Co. Clare at lunchtime.
The remains have yet to be identified but it is thought they are those of the 2 crew missing from the ‘Lady Eileen’ since yesterday.
The vessel failed to return to Quilty as planned.
The bodies were found off Spanish Point.
They have been taken ashore and handed over to gardaí and will be examined at a Limerick hospital later.
One of the missing men is in his early 60s and the father of 3 children.
While the second man is in his late 20s and expecting a baby next month.
Operations manager of the Irish coast guard is Declan Geoghan.
He says the weather was kind to them during the search.
