The Health Minister has said potential vaccine delays won't derail reopening plans being considered today.
Stephen Donnelly was speaking as Cabinet meets to sign off on plans for the next phase of reopening during the summer months.
Indoor dining is set to return on July 5th, with international travel resuming on July 19th under the EU's digital green cert system.
There are also set to be plans put in place for the return of mass outdoor gatherings, along with a green light for gyms and cinemas to reopen alongside outdoor pubs and restaurants on June 7th.
Yesterday it was confirmed there will be a "significant" shortfall in the number of one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccines delivered in June - meaning it's unclear whether the Government will be able to meet its target of offering at least one dose of a vaccine to 80% of adults by the end of next month.
Health Minister Stephen Donnelly says that isn't going to delay the reopening plans.
He said: "NPHET's advice last night to us was certainly on the basis of where we're at with the vaccine programme.
"Remember, in terms of what may or may not happen with Janssen or AstraZeneca right now... the companies haven't been able to provide certainty. So we still may get large volumes in."
He noted the Johnson & Johnson supply will depend on the firm getting the green light from US authorities to export batches of their one-dose vaccine.
The reopening plan for June, July and August is expected to be formally announced by the Taoiseach this evening.
