Downing Street has confirmed the funeral of Margaret Thatcher will take place next Wednesday.
She will get a ceremonial funeral with full military honours at St. Paul's Cathedral with Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh among the mourners.
The former British Prime Minister herself did not want to lie in State or have a flypast.
MP Connor Burns was one of her closest friends.
"The funeral that is planned for next week - that's been long in the planning - is the funeral that she would have wanted" he said.
"She always used to say 'I'm not Winston'. I think it'll be a very fitting end for an incredible career" he added.
The body of the 87-year-old was removed from the Ritz Hotel just after midnight following her death there yesterday morning.
The British Prime Minister David Cameron has led political tributes to her.
Speaking outside Number 10 Downing Street last night he acknowledged the woman who became known as the 'Iron Lady' fiercely divided opinion.
