The incident involving Britain's Prince Harry, his wife Meghan and the Duchess' mother occurred on Tuesday evening after an awards show in New York City.
The incident was described as a “near catastrophic car chase” involving "highly aggressive "paparazzi photographers, a spokesperson for the Duke said on Wednesday.
According to Reuters, the spokesperson said: "Last night, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Ms Ragland were involved in a near catastrophic car chase at the hands of a ring of highly aggressive paparazzi."
"This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD (New York Police Department) officers."
