The 2013 National Ploughing Championships come to an end today.
The first Ploughing Championships took place way back in 1931 in a very different Ireland where horses were often used on farms rather than machinery.
The first tractor to appear at Ploughing did not appear until 1932. But there was no official tractor competition.
