The deadline for declarations of undervaluation for property tax is looming.

Already, more than 2,000 homeowners have admitted undervaluing their properties to pay a cheaper rate, according to the Revenue Commissioners.

The Sunday Business Post reports that a further surge is expected before the deadline of Monday March 31st.

Those who don't come clean face hefty penalties.
