A silent march will be staged by the Mothers Against Genocide group in Dublin this afternoon to highlight the crisis in Gaza.
They're calling for the Irish Government to impose sanctions on Israel over its policies in the occupied territories.
The group's Megan Ni Ghabhlain says at least 18 thousand children have had their futures stolen.
“We’re now a year and three months into this,” she said.
“We’ve witnessed violation after violation of the very commonly held values that all society holds.
“Violations of international law, violations of basic human rights – 18,000 children at least have now had their futures robbed.
“We’re asking anyone who stands in solidarity with this injustice to come out.”
62 people were killed during Israeli airstrikes in Gaza yesterday, including a family of eleven.
Seven children were among those who died.
CEO of Action Aid Ireland Karol Balfe has said that Palestinians continue to suffer from ‘carnage and massacre’.
"Unfortunately, 2025 continues to see the absolutely bloody carnage and massacre of Palestinians by the Israeli Defence Forces in 2025 that we saw in 2024,” she said.
“We now have a total of 45,717 people killed [and] over 108,000 people injured.”
The continued bombing in the region has been described as ‘horrific’.
